Is ISIL planning WBIED attacks?

WBIED.com Editorial

ISIS (Daesh) and all other anti-west organisations depend on fear as a major part of their strategy.  ISIS has taken this to new heights with public beheadings (Jihadi John), the destruction of the antiquities in their Caliphate and their most recent atrocity – using explosives to execute prisoners.  All of this is part of a carefully orchestrated manipulation of the media to ensure that they are kept top of the public’s mind.

If we look at the Caliphate as of July 2015:

Aleppo is the last Syrian stronghold that keeps ISIS gaining access to the Mediterranean Sea.  This is a double-edged sword for those who want to see the overthrow of Syria’s Assad but without allowing ISIS to gain a further territorial foothold.  The problem for the Middle East region are potentially enormous:

A coastal foothold will allow them to start to export terror via water-borne methods to neighbouring Jordan a long-time supporter of advocating coexistence with Israel, who in turn have dealt with the smuggling of weapons to the then PLO and Hamas.  Lebanon has the potential to erupt into catastrophic sectarian violence, adding more to the woes of Israel.

Would ISIS use WBIED’s?  If it wasn’t in their planning a weapon of terror would be surprising as much as the lack of countermeasures in the planning minds of the countries who could be affected by this terror weapon.
